Nicknamed the brown recluse for his homebody tendencies, Richard Dudley started Brec as a solo(ish) recording project. COVID isolation seemed like an opportune time to start a new project — a combination of both solo works and collaborations with friends and former bandmates.

"Patience…or Whatever", the first single by Brec, is a collaboration between Richard and Scott Madgett (his former bandmate in Moyamoya). The song is a mix of ambient noise, indie rock, and experimental sounds.
