Showcasing a sonic slideshow of multiple dimensions, A Nice Sweet Getaway is the fifth release by Tucson-based band La Cerca. It is a living room performance with beautiful flaws, looped guitars and every emotion under the Sonoran Desert sun.

The 11-tracks offer an endless source of inspiration, taking an unexpected excursion of learning and experimenting with a two-track recording device. The mostly (though not all) improvisational compositions meld together into auditory waves of fuzz, delay and modulation. The vibe is created by exploring a curiosity of intimate microphone placement to capture the essence of musical movement in the room.

This album wends through empathic sensitivities of unrest from walking the underbelly after a protest; it is a personal voyage of love and memory reflecting on life's travels. There’s a sense of accomplishment and staying in the light. It wanders through a summer haze, a cry for rain in the desert; understands that the art of inspiration is the love we create, and the freedom it allows us in the present moment. It also mines the frustration of having your only means of transportation stolen, takes a bike ride in the cold, all the while transcending and creating a lifting of the mind, body and spirit into a nice sweet getaway.
